IMPORTANT NOTICE
Due to COVID-19, the 2020 camping season may look a little different as we follow the Renew PEI guidelines along with our own set precautions.
- We are advising all registered campers that may have visiting guests to their sites, that these guests will not be permitted to use any of the park facilities which include: bathrooms, pool, dock and kayaks.
- According to the Renew PEI guidelines, ALL visiting guests have to report to the office upon arrival.
- The office closes at 9pm, therefore no guest will be allowed to enter the park after 9pm.
- We also recommend bringing your own life jackets for the kayaks and pool.
This has been put in place to protect our campers and our employees. Further guidelines will be updated as released. We thank you in advance for helping us be safe along with still enjoying our summer!
Somers By The Beach overlooks the Murray River and offers a relaxing and quiet atmosphere for families and friends to go camping, swim at the beach or in our heated pool, go kayaking, have camp fires, etc. Come enjoy our camping experience!
Somers By the Beach Campground, a beautiful family owned campground overlooking Murray River. Enjoy a relaxing stay in one of our large spacious campsites. Our campsites are shaded, grassy or treed sites with a water view offering spectacular sunsets.
We are located on the Points East Coastal Drive next to Kings Castle Provincial Park.
At Kings Castle you and your children can spend a fun filled day enjoying their unique play equipment and storybook statues. If you enjoy sitting around a campfire and watching the sunset then Somers Campground is just the place you should be.
Take a stroll along the beach, dig clams or just sit at the end of the dock enjoying the quiet of Murray River. The children will love the Pirate Ship & Lobster Trap playgrounds as well as other weekly activities. Don’t miss out on our complimentary “Mussel Bake” every Saturday night during July and August for the campers – you’ll love it! It is a great way to meet your fellow campers and learn more about our unique island from the local guests. Take a swim in our heated pool or in the river off the dock and then enjoy a treat from KJ’s Camp Store where we have lots of snacks and campground necessities.
